Bella is now retired ,we may add more lovely Labs in the future but they would not be ready to breed for a few years. We never let any Lab have more than 2 to 3 litters their entire lives , and for Bella she had 2 and now she’s back to work as my service dog. They are still young , Bella just turned 4 and Capone is 2 , they have done their part and are now enjoying a full life of fun .
I love to write about our love for our dogs and will add and update as life goes on , thank you for your interest.
Our Story
I truly believe my love for labs was because of my daughter. She had moved out and wanted a companion. She and I had always loved chocolate Labs, so she started her search. She found a litter of chocolate lab mix puppies and asked me to come along and help pick out a female.I was happy and felt lucky that she asked me to come along not to mention, I wasn't driving so I got to hold the puppy all they way home. We picked out a beautiful little girl , she was so precious and sweet , we instantly fell in love with her . We named her Eden .
One day my daughter came by before her work day and asked if I could puppy sit Eden , I was very happy to do so , ... we decided because she was working so much that Eden would stay with me ,......I was very happy about that ! .She soon became my dog , that beautiful dog taught me so much about unconditional love , she loved me no matter what , and accepted me with all my flaws ,we had so many good times together , she was always by my side through good times and bad. . As the years went by her health declined , she became very painful and could hardly walk towards the end . It came to a point were I had to make that very hard decision that no animal lover has to make , and certainly a dog or lab lover has to make ,.....I couldn't bare to see her suffer anymore .It was so hard to let her go , there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her . She was with me for about 11 years . I was so broken after her passing. All I wanted was her back next to me.
A few months went by and something very profound happened , I felt Eden had everything to do with it , I truly believe it happened for a reason . If you are interested and want to read about the special gift she gave to me after her passing please visit her special page , " about Eden " ,...........................................................................
I didn't plan on getting another lab so soon. I just felt Eden was pushing me. I found this new color, "Charcoal", which is a striking grey that almost looks like gunmetal with a bit of a sparkle at the tips of the hair. I fell in love and soon ended up getting a new puppy. And starting a new beginning . I wasn't replacing Eden, as you can never do that, I just knew I needed to continue on my journey and wanted to share my life with another labrador.
I found a reputable breeder and fell in love with her dam, Bella. She was amazing. I started tearing up when she looked at me. At that moment she came to me and looked me in the eyes and made me feel like "no, no, no tears". I want you to have one of my puppies. I felt Eden was with me and I was doing the right thing.
This puppy , is now my service dog and has turned out to be the smartest dog I have ever had. Her temperament is second to none , very confident and secure , laid back and super sweet . She has stunning gold eyes , a beautiful shiny gunmetal grey coat with a beautiful sparkle at the tips of her fur . She walks with pride and elegance .
I feel so lucky to have such a powerful dog. She is so special , she goes everywhere everywhere with me , we are so connected . We are together 24/7 .
I now want to pass her genes on. I want others to have a piece of her because she is so amazing, so intelligent, I cannot imagine my life without her. I have to thank Eden. She is part of me and is in my heart forever and always.
She led me here.
